Hi Everyone!! Hope you’ve all been well!! I’ve been on a bit of a reading stint hence the lack of written blog posts. I’m currently reading P.S. I Love You by Cecilia Ahern and let me tell you—while the movie is lovely—the book is fantastic! I haven’t gotten to the end yet but I’m certain it’ll be one of my favorite books of the year.
Anyway, today I wanted to put a spotlight on one of my newest favoritest nail polish companies—Trust Fund Beauty. The company offers cruelty-free long lasting products with sassy names. Their sassy charm is evident in their polish naming convention, which is largely driven by pop culture references. Just Talk To My Lawyer—a stunning deep brown polish with hints of red glitter—was the first addition to my collection and what started my love for this product. I received it via my Petit Vour subscription—a huge beauty purchase enabler. (Here’s my unboxing video.) If you’ve signed up for a beauty subscription do you find that you end up purchasing full size products you didn’t know you need? This is an ongoing trend for me.
A few months ago I signed up for their monthly subscription service where you receive two nail polishes—for sure—and surprise add-ons at times. I know it’s a bit of a splurge given that you pay upfront for the duration of the subscription of your choice (I signed up for the 6 month subscription) but considering that their nail polishes cost around $14 per bottle by signing up you save a few dollars, which is really nice if you’re set on increasing your collection. Overall, I’ve been really pleased. Their customer service is just lovely as are their monthly add-ons! I’ve received 2 full-size nail polishes and a few other goodies. It’s just been such a positive experience overall and think definitely think their worth giving a shot if you’re as obsessed with nail polish as I am.
Given my subscription I now own eight additional polishes and just love all of them! Of course I do. I wrote to a company rep and provided her with a list of my favorite nail polishes and thus far I’ve gotten all of my top choices—which is just the perfect situation—I nail polishes I love on a monthly basis.
Here are a few of them:
The formula isn’t runny and the wand is just right so someone as inept at nail polish application as myself can more easily apply their nail polish without many issues. When I say that the wand is just right I mean that it doesn’t spread out too much and it’s just long enough to where you have control of streakiness.
You may ask, “Jessica, what’s the deal with you and expensive nail polish?”
To that I say, nail polish is something I just can’t get enough of. I just love looking at my fingers as I type and seeing specks of color fly in and out of view. I love the application process—even though I’m really terrible at staying within my nail beds hence my manicure often ends up looking like a five-year-old who recently played with finger paints. Sitting down filing and polishing my nails while enjoying a glass of wine is a process I really look forward to after a long day in the office. While I love the process, I also love it when the formula is long lasting as it becomes a bit annoying to have to reapply after a day or two due to chipping.
I also love the effect that certain nail polishes have on my outfits whether it matches or clashes against it. I think it can look playful when it looks a bit off which is a nice change of pace in comparison to the more muted neutrals I often wear to work.
Nail polish is just my thing hence I sometimes spoil myself with a new color when in need for an instant pick-me-up. What do you do or splurge on when you need a bit of a pick-me-up?
