This collection was inspired by my first book thong purchase--an impulse buy. I loved its functionality and its dangle but I really didn't like the price. Making my own was so much fun and I learned so much--like how to make the perfect loop with wire.
Jewelry Inspired by Paul Durham's The Luck Uglies
This is such a beautiful atmoslpheric series with a lot of heart and an interesting cast of cheracters.
The Luck Uglies by Paul Durham
This is the last book in this gem of a series. Loved the themes and setting and writing. I highly recommend it if you like darker middle middle-grade adventures.
The inspiration behind my necklace.
The O'Chanter's runes protect against the likes of bognoblins. They also altert the user of their presence as these mythical creatures tend to creep up unexpectedly.
The O'Chanter runes are held together by ribbon.
I love ribbon and really wanted to experiment with it hence I used it as my clasp for this necklace.
Gunmetal Wire & Glass Beads
These make up the foundation of the neckalce.
In lieu of a beautiful dragonfly, I used a rose pendant as I don't have any to work with in my collection. (Will have to change that!) Did you know that the dragonfly symbolizes change and change in the perspective of self-realization; and the kind of change that has its source in mental and emotional maturity and the understanding of the deeper meaning of life. Ultimately, I love my finished product.
This bracelet is inspired by The Dead Fish Inn, the place where no one knows your name.
Brass Fish Pendant, Cotton Cord & Glass Beads
These were the materials used for this braclet.
Faceted Glass Beads
These are a current favorite of mine. They are so versitile!
